In the area referring to the right to reparations, the Humanitarian Law Center has prepared, for the students of the Transitional Justice School, materials about administrative, judicial, and symbolic reparations. The aforementioned materials cover the current status and rights of victims of war and human rights violations in Serbia, difficulties encountered by victims of war and human rights violations before domestic courts (secondary victimization, the lack of empathy by judges, long-lasting judicial proceedings, etc.) and the problem of victims not being recognized by the societies in the region. In this part, students will also receive materials referring to the examples of successful and unsuccessful reparations for victims in other areas of the region and internationally.
